Hulkenberg, joins Sauber for the 2013 campaign after impressing for Force India last year.

The 25 year-old German was touted for a race-seat at Ferrari this year but following Felipe Massas' contract extension, he joins the Silverstone based team.

A forth-place finish in Valencia and a fifth-place finish at Spa were highlights of Hulkenbergs' season, he also led magnificently in the final race in Brazil before unfortunately tangling with Hamilton.

In an all new lineup at Sauber, Hulkenbergs' experience will be essential to development of the car. Following a problematic test in Jerez, he now believes the car is 'a shoe that fits,' he said:

The real issue was that in Jerez we didn’t have the right shoe size for me, that was it. Now with the right shoe size everything is perfect.
“Does that make me the F1 Cinderella? That only the one with the ‘right’ shoe size will see a happy ending?
“Who knows? I do love fairytales — I just wonder who is playing the wicked stepmother.”

Newcomer Esteban Gutierrez finished third in the 2012 GP2 series and replaces fellow Mexican Sergio Perez at the team.
Former GP3 Champion, Gutierrez was thankful to get miles under his belt at the pre-season testing
"I believe that having a lot of practice pitstops, a race simulation, new-tyre runs and feeling my physical condition in Jerez helped me to work and focus on the most important things."
Talking ahead of the season opener at Melbourne the 21 year-old revealed he would take a cautious approach, he said:
"The main goal is to complete the full race length, Being my first F1 race it is important to accomplish this."

"It doesn't make sense to do a 120 per cent risk when you are not fighting for something yet. I am looking to create a good base for my confidence to then push the limits a little bit."
